EMILY VICK AGNEW is a Toronto-based singer, dancer, teacher and producer.

Emily has performed all over the world. She is a dancer and puppeteer with New York City’s world-renowned Tony Award winning cultural institution LaMaMa Experimental Theatre Club, as part of Loco7 Dance Puppetry Theatre Company working in Manhattan, Toronto and South America. Most recently, she was a Loco7/LaMaMa resident artist; developing and performing a new work based on protecting the Amazon Rainforest.

Blending her love of performing and education, she worked with Nickelodeon on Blue’s Clues Live (National Tour), Go, Diego, Go! (First National Tour/Radio City Music Hall) and as Dora the Explorer in Dora’s Pirate Adventure (International Tour), touring Canada, the U.S., Asia, Australia and New Zealand with promotional performances on The Today Show, Australia’s The Morning Show, CTV News and numerous radio stations. She holds a B. of Music (CUA) and Master’s in Elementary Education (Bank Street College of Education), as well as a certificate in cabaret performance from Yale University.

In Toronto Emily has performed at the Meridian Arts Centre with Doctor Bird Productions (Jekyll & Hyde), Withrow Park with Shakespeare in the Ruff (‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’), Daniels Spectrum with Loco7 (‘Undefined Fraction’), Casa Loma (‘Dracula’), Roy Thomson Hall (with the dynamic VOCA Chorus of Toronto) and numerous cabaret theatre venues.

Through her production company Gate A Productions and others, Emily has brought numerous shows to life.

Emily’s cabarets have raised thousands of dollars for a variety of organizations, focusing on issues like maternal mental health, arts education, fundraising and humanitarian aid.

She lives in Toronto with her husband and their two children.
